We train clients from a studio and gym in Hampton. We also provide mobile training throughout London and the South East, training in peoples homes, local parks or local facilities.
Simon Burden Founder
Simon founded Active Interest in order to provide the motivation, knowledge and support required to enable individuals to change and achieve their health and fitness goals.
Simon left a successful marketing career to travel and whilst doing so found a passion for running and also for a life outside of the office. With experience of football coaching and teaching English, Simon re-trained as a Personal Trainer, achieving the level 3 Personal Training qualification and becoming a member of the National Register of Personal Trainers.
Having come to fitness late, Simon has found a passion for Marathon running and Triathlon and for working with individuals, understanding their goals and using people skills as well training techniques to achieve client’s goals such as:

Learning to Swim for Triathlon
Fitness programmes for Football teams
Improved energy levels post pregnancy
Using exercise to get a better work life balance

Sophie Moore Swim Coach
Sophie has been a swimmer for as long as she can remember, having grown up by the Sea and joining a Swimming club at 5! Sophie swam to county standard and has been a level 2 Swim Coach for a number of years. Sophie specialises in Swim Coaching for individuals of all ages, abilities and goals.
Melanie Duckett Physiotherapist
We’re pleased to welcome Melanie Duckett who has joined the team to ensure that all clients receive a full postural assessment and physiotherapy services to ensure continued pain free exercise. Be sure to ask your trainer to make an appointment with Melanie.
